Now I really wonder is my job a really turn-off? Friends shunning me, avoiding me..
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend, lets call him H.
H: You know, you all financial consultants are the most hated people around. So why you wanna become one?
Me: Not because of the money. but because i wanna help people...
H: you never make me buy anything from you but i really hate you lor.
Me: Y not take a look from another point of view. when something happened to you and all your family members are busy running around looking for money to pay off all your hospitalisation bills, the person you hate most comes to you and present you with a cheque.
Will you still hate the person?
H: .........
Anyone reading this post, go ask yourself.. How much is your life worth? paying that mengre sum every month for your insurance is enough. Think again?
Be as cynical as you want about my job.
